See ya, Soccer Hair!

Everyone who was at the Sabre of Boldness ceremony and thought that my younger brother Patrick's hair was too long can now breathe a big sigh of relief. He got his hair cut early this morning. A guy from church came and picked him up at 5:30 am and they went to the barber together. Five cups of coffee and a few inches later he came back.

Before: Awesome, curly, soccer-player hair

After: cute cut that allows people to see his eyes

Now his friends won't have to threaten him with drugging and shaving anymore (and I'm sure they're all disappointed.)

Aww... it looks good, but Patchy... you look so much younger... I am so frivilous, but it will grow out :-P

You meant to write, I am sure, "Awesome, curly, girly haircut." Now he looks again the nice, responsible young man that he is.

Of course it will grow out, if he lets it. But I'm sure he'll get it cut at more regular intervals in the future.

We aardvarks know hair. We also know our George Carlin:

Spare hair is fair!
In fact, hair can be rare.
Fred Astaire got no hair,
Nor does a chair,
Nor nor a chocolate eclair,
And where is the hair on a pear?
Nowhere, mon frere!

So now that I've shared this affair of the hair,
I'm going to repair to my lair and use Nair, do you care?

(From the second half of his ode to hair.)

BTW, I'm happy I got to meet some of the family.

Pr. Fickel- I never thought he looked girly. lots of soccer players have hair like Patrick's AND are very masculine. *nods* :o)

Esteemed Aardvark- It was nice to meet you too!

Now that I know Patrick responds well to threats involving illegal substances entering his body in order to make adjustments to his personal appearance, a whole new door of opportunity has been opened.

P.S. A mullet would have been a funnier haircut.

The kid now looks like an "Merican." Patrick's a good-looking grandson, unless you can't see his face. Now we CAN see his face, and it looks good! Grandfather Dear

P.S. GD Bessie is beautiful no matter how long or short her hair is.

I don't know Patrick. I think I like the before photo. I vote, let it grow!
Someday you'll be working in some sensible office cubicle and you'll have to be neat and tidy then. Enjoy your youth.

I'm gonna vote that Patchy let the hair grow back out.

I was very distressed when mum cut Paul's hair before Symposium. It was so cute and emo...

I will mess up the average by preferring shorter hair. : )

Patchy didn't look bad with the long hair, but I like the shorter cut. Soccer hair is hard to pull off, and while he pulled it off I think guys generally look better with short hair (especially MY brothers. . . . >shudder< ;o) ).

I don't agree with Katie, I think he looks older with the cut. The long hair brought to mind pictures of my Dad with long hair in his pre-teens.

The short hair must be his summer cut. Three Higher Things conferences are the only places I've seen Patches, and that's the only cut I know.
I definitely think the short cut is better.
I agree with Pr. Fickel that the long cut is girly.
I also agree with Thomas... 0:-) ;-)
